Indigo Gardens is a cannabis company based in Oregon’s Applegate Valley. They had a solid brand identity, but lacked a cohesive brand strategy. We worked with their team to inspire retail sales by focusing on the most underrepresented people in cannabis: budtenders. They are the people most likely to guide consumer behavior in an industry with restrictive marketing regulations.
Keeping both budtenders and customers in mind, we developed new messaging, illustrations, packaging and gear that focused on utility and quality of life. We started by developing a “budtender kit,” giving them practical branded tools that benefited their craft. We then created surreal collages that tied back to nature without feeling generic. The imagery was translated into postcards for dispensaries, new packaging and unique pieces like yoga pants!
