Many great artists, photographers and writers advise anyone in a creative field not to evaluate their work immediately after it’s completed. If you’ve just finished a first draft, put it in a drawer for a few months. If you shoot photos, don’t edit a single frame until you’ve nearly forgotten what’s there in the first place.

With that in mind, I dug through some old folders and happened across photos that hadn’t seen the light of day yet. After a little tweaking, organizing and trashing, I decided it was time to give them a new home.

A couple of these are from my days in Fargo and a few were taken during my first winter in Phoenix.
